This hotel is in a great location, close to the lake and just down the hill from the town centre. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. The spa facilities were a great addition, especially the indoor swimming pool and sauna.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to my family.

Great facilities, outstanding lounge and various choice of in-house restaurants.
Check-in is theoretically from 3pm. We arrived 1pm and the room was nor ready. Fair enough. But then we had to wait untill 4pm untill we could get the keys. We came for one day to enjoy the spa facility, so it was all a bit short. While waiting this extra hour we had a drink at our own expenses. A little gesture from the hotel manager-tough not compulsory- would have been highly appreciated. Rooms standard. Nothing special.

The staff were kind, helpful, professional, spoke good English. Great central location. Safe parking area. Traditional charm and character. Large, clean, comfortable rooms. Exceptionally friendly staff. Excellent evening meal and breakfast.
Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

The restaurants are excellent. The staff is very friendly. The location is good and the parking opportunities are easy. The hotel is short walking distance from shops and cafés, although we were somewhat disappointed the hotel was so far from the lake. Reservation literature might be more clear in the distance from Gerardmer's main attraction...
Our room was badly in need of renovation. Our room smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke, although it has been some time since it was legal to smoke in a hotel room in France. The wallpaper was peeling, and the furnishings were aged and worn. The bed was somewhat uncomfortable and rather than using one large bedspread for the large bed, two smaller ones were overlapped to cover the whole thing. The bathroom had black mildew around the tub and tile. Several hairs--not any of our own--presented themselves along the side of the tub. The hotel was advertised online as a 4 star, although the only indication we could see when we arrived was that it was only a 3 star. Our room was billed as a "superior" double room, but there was nothing superior about it.

The central location in Gerardmer. Fantastic indoor swimming pool. We had dinner in the new gastronomic restaurant, which was great. Life music in the bar. Free parking.

Great location for exploring the beautiful nearby towns. Nice breakfast selection with a variety of options. The rooms were well-decorated and comfortable with ample space.
The reception staff often seemed uninterested in helping. The parking area was small and often full.

The hotel is as its name would suggest, grand. Lovely location, nicely decorated and stylish. The staff at reception, bar and restaurants are friendly and helpful. Warm atmosphere..
The downside to our stay at the hotel were the little extra's...details which if they had been taken care of would have made it perfect. 1. Free wireless internet - never worked. 2. Radiators werent bled properly which meant ticking sound all through 5 nights. 3. Car park was cleared of snow with the snow dumped behind my car - twice. 4. jacuzzi was cold 5. When dining at the hotel an aperitif is offered...one evening the waiter tried to bill it knowing it should have been free. Once it was pointed out at reception it was dealt with quickly and effectively though

The hotel was lovely and very well-kept and clean. The rooms was spacious and comfortable even with the rollaway bed for our daughter. The location is very central near restaurants, pharmacy and a supermarket next door.
The water in the indoor pool was quite cold and no tea/coffee facilities in the room.

Great location, authentic feel
Stayed in a lovely hotel, situated close to a lake and in the heart of town which was great for exploring. The hotel had an authentic feel with old-world decor which was refreshing. The spa provided a great range of treatments and the breakfast was fantastic.
There was no mini fridge or kettle in the rooms which was inconvenient. The staff were not very helpful or welcoming which put a bit of a dampener on the trip.

Lovely Hotel, all the facilities we wanted.
Very hot when we were there and no aircon or fans. Quite uncomfortable sleeping.

The common areas of the hotel are great and what I expected.
The rooms make you feel like you are in a 2 or 3 star hotel.

The hotel's location was ideal, as it was close to the town and the lake. The cleanliness of the room was noteworthy, and the staff was polite and professional. Parking was also safe and available with no extra fees.
Nothing all good.

Very comfortable hotel situated in the middle of town 5 minutes walk from the lake. Plenty of space in the room and lounge areas and the beautiful garden. Very friendly and helpful staff. Easy parking. Would definitely go back again.
18 Euros for breakfast is very expensive, but you can get coffee and croissants round the corner for 4,50e in the pedestrian area.
